London Snow.

This piece is a sort of tri-fold expression.

It snowed, heavily, where we live in Bromley. At one stage, flakes were drifting out of a high blue sky, and the surrounding dirty sidewalks and rundown houses were covered with icy, gleaming snow. The feeling of watching those fat, white flakes puffing down out of the clean, clear sky was soul-lifting and the freezing cold was vivifying.

The color blue is my take on Pantone’s Color of the Year, ultraviolet. Although not truly violet, this warm blue edges on purple and I love its power and vibrancy. It is a reflection of a new year, new start; full of promise.

New year, new start, color of the year, and…confetti. My version. Brutalist style.
